Saturday: 12 to 4 pm (Saturday hours are only in effect during exhibition runs)
Sunday: Closed

Tours of the Institute are also available to groups and organizations. These visits cover the history of the 100 year old mansion that houses the Institute and an explanation of its renowned murals. To schedule a tour, please contact Nitya Ramlogan at or at 202.728.1647 at least one month prior to your visit. While we make every effort to facilitate all requests, tours are subject to availability. If possible, please propose multiple dates.

Through a restructured Outreach Progam, we have extended invitations to students from around the Washington Metropolitan area. We welcome our younger audiences to the Institute to learn about the vibrancy of Mexican Culture and develop a deeper cultural awareness. Guided tours for schoolchildren are available, free of charge.
